Place: Kalemegdan, the Lower Town Time: August 21 - 24, 2003 Program: A festival promoting beer culture and beer as healthy sustenance, backed by performances of prominent local and foreign bands, and numerous follow-up programs, in the spirit of Munich's Oktoberfest. The exclusive character of this four-day festival, its quality and the number of participants, its scenario, musical and sports programs, attractive venue, up-to-date marketing campaign, and no cover charge attracted over 200,000 visitors. The Belgrade Beer Fest project was carried out with the selfless support of Belgrade city authorities, who recognized the striving of hundreds of young people working on the project to see Belgrade become a world metropolis. The festival's aspirations are tolerance, open borders, the policy of reconciliation in the region, but also urban spirit of the new generations. Vision: The Belgrade Cultural Network MUSIC & MORE will do its best to make the BBF 2005 the greatest international festival of the kind in the region. The BBF is to last seven days and attract more than one million visitors. The organizers' vision is to make the BELGRADE BEER FEST a top brand, a national event, and a landmark of Belgrade, stirring pride in its citizens. We are on the way of achieving this goal.
